Advancing Integration with LegalOn Technologies; New Partnerships with BHSN, Law&Company, and Noxtua Planned for 2026
TOKYO, Japan – March 4, 2026 – Legalscape, Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Miki Yagita; hereinafter "Legalscape"), a Japanese Legal Data & AI Company, today announced "Legal Intelligence by Legalscape”. This AI system is designed to enable global legal platforms to seamlessly integrate Legalscape's comprehensive Japanese legal knowledge directly into their own solutions via API, unlocking authoritative legal insights for cross-border legal practice. Legalscape aims to expand this integration model to legal tech platforms globally.
Legalscape specializes in constructing comprehensive Japanese legal databases and providing AI-powered legal tech solutions.
Japanese legal knowledge has long been fragmented. Legal professionals in Japan must rely on primary sources—statutes, administrative guidelines, and case law—as well as secondary sources such as authoritative commentaries and expert practical literature. However, these resources are scattered: primary sources exist as digital documents dispersed across multiple platforms, while many secondary sources remain in print publications and are strictly protected by copyright. This fragmentation has historically been a fundamental barrier to efficient legal research, and currently makes comprehensive Japanese legal knowledge inaccessible to generative AI platforms.
Since its founding in 2017, Legalscape has successfully addressed this fragmentation. Through patented natural language processing (NLP) technology for legal documents and strategic alliances with major publishers, Legalscape built a comprehensive legal research platform. Legalscape possesses Japan's top-tier legal AI technology, demonstrated by pioneering the provision of AI-powered legal research in Japan in 2023 and becoming the first in Japan to achieve a near-perfect score on the short-answer questions of the Japanese Bar Examination in 2025. As of 2026, Legalscape partners with over 40 publishers, and the solution has been adopted by more than 2,000 clients, including all of Japan's top five law firms and corporate legal departments, boasting the No. 1 track record in Japan for both revenue and the volume of included legal literature*.

To date, Legalscape has delivered high-precision information access for domestic experts. Now, as global legal professionals increasingly handle cross-border matters involving Japan, Legalscape presents "Legal Intelligence by Legalscape"—an AI system specifically designed for integration with external platforms.
Through strategic publisher partnerships, Legalscape has secured access to Japan's closed legal ecosystem, creating the first comprehensive Japanese legal database accessible via API. The system cross-references multilayered legal information, constantly updating itself with the latest knowledge. It aims to deliver actionable intelligence based on users' specific situations and context, enabling global legal platforms to provide access to authoritative Japanese legal knowledge directly within their existing workflows. This API-first approach allows partners to preserve their own product design, user experience, and competitive positioning. Content available through Legal Intelligence by Legalscape will be provided on the basis of consent from the respective content partners.
Legalscape is collaborating to enable API integrations beginning in 2026 with the following international partners (in alphabetical order):
BHSN (South Korea): Legal AI company providing the all-in-one AI business solution "allibee".
Law&Company (South Korea): Korea’s legal tech company and provider of the legal AI service "SuperLawyer".

These collaborations also include exploring reciprocal integrations, through which Legalscape aims to empower users in Japan to research and make legal judgments on foreign legal knowledge directly within the Legalscape platform.
